Overview

The purpose is to provide South Africa and KwaZulu-Natal in particular, with skilled Speech-Language Therapists, to ensure effective, efficient and accessible speechlanguage pathology services in the public and private sectors, e.g. hospitals, special schools and private practice. Service delivery includes assessment and treatment of speech sound system disorders, voice disorders, cleft palate and other cranio-facial disorders, fluency disorders, developmental language disorders, language learning disability, neurologically acquired communication disorders in children and adults, as well as individuals with specific disorders, e.g. cerebral palsy, autism and cognitive impairment.
