Ours is to alert staff about research opportunities in a customized way that ensures that messages are sent to particular staff with specific interests. Providing technical and administrative support including ensuring that proposals align with university policies and donor interests to staff submitting proposals to external funding agencies. Facilitating in proposal development workshops for both staff and postgraduate students with the Dean of Research.

Ms Sinethemba Mthimkhulu

Grant Co-Ordinator

She is a master of commerce graduate, with a background in Psychology, legal studies and Local Economic Development. She is an experienced researcher, who holds 5 years’ research experience within the university. With two publications under her belt, she is completing her PhD in the second semester through the College of Law and Management Studies. She has previously been awarded scholarships by KZN EDTEA and is a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society, in recognition of her outstanding academic achievements.
