UKZN’s Discipline of Anaesthetics extended its congratulations to Miss Ra’eesa Mohamed Yunus for obtaining the highest marks in Anaesthesiology and Critical Care and winning the South African Society of Anaesthesiologists [SASA] Horace Wells Medal for the Best Anaesthetics Student for 2019.
Yunus, who is a fifth-Year MBChB student at the Nelson R Mandela School of Medicine, received a monetary award from the Anaesthetics Discipline and the medal was presented to her during the weekly academic meeting at the Medical School.
‘I’m really excited about this award because I love Anaesthetics and this encourages me to work hard,’ she said.
Head of the Discipline of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, Dr Dean Gopalan congratulated Yunus and wished her all the best for the future.
