Academic exchange agreements between Tohoku University and the University of KwaZulu-Natal

December 20 (Monday), the president of Tohoku University, Professor Akihisa Inoue and Deputy Vice-Chancellor of the College of Health Sciences at the University of KwaZulu Natal, Professor Tahir Pillay, signed an agreement on academic exchange between the two universities.
The signing ceremony was attended by Vice-President Kitamura, Yamamoto Dean of Medicine, Biomedical Engineering Dean Sato, Professor Hattori (Graduate School of Medicine), Professor Kodama (Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering) and the Director for International, Hirata.
The academic exchange will focus on collaborative research in areas such as infectious diseases, nanotechnology, medicine and biomedical engineering.
The signing of this agreement is a turning point in the history of both institutions and is expected to promote further research and educational exchange.
